A folklore has it that a monk passing by a small tea estate village in the back and beyond of West Bengal, broke his journey and sipped the locally grown tea. Astounded by its fragrance and flavour, he exclaimed “Rungli Rungliot” which in his language translates to “Thus far and no further”.
